Azalech Getahun Mengistu, a 31-year-old coffee farmer from Bona Woreda in the Sidama region, achieved remarkable success in the Cup of Excellence Ethiopia 2024. Married with two children, she scored 87.61 points and ranked 14th in the competition — especially considering she started coffee farming only four years ago.

Her success highlights not only her skill and commitment but also the quality potential of coffee from the Sidama region, specifically Bona Woreda.
